Taggbox alternative for Swiss SMEs
Taggbox aggregates social media feeds and reviews from more than 25 sources. If all you want is your Google reviews on your website, you are paying for features you will never open — and sooner or later you run into the monthly view quota. SwissTrustWidget does one thing: Google reviews, CHF 49 once, no counter.
What is Taggbox?
Taggbox is a UGC platform (user generated content) with an office in Jaipur, India, on the market since 2016. The tool collects content from more than 15 social networks and over 10 review portals — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google reviews and others — and displays it as a feed widget. The offering has two lines: widgets for websites, and social walls for screens at trade fairs and events. For a Swiss SME usually only the first line is relevant, yet the whole package is what gets billed. Every plan is tied to a monthly view quota and a number of "feeds". A feed is one source — your Google profile is one of them.
Taggbox or Tagembed? Two providers, not one
The two names get mixed up regularly, and that is understandable: Taggbox and Tagembed are two separate providers with strikingly similar offerings — feed aggregation from many platforms, an embeddable widget, a subscription with a view quota. The pricing tiers almost line up as well: both start with a free plan at 500 views per month, both charge from $19 a month for the first paid tier. Comparing the two providers therefore means comparing practically the same terms. For the decision that means the real question isn't Taggbox or Tagembed, but whether you need a multi-platform aggregator with a counter — or just your Google reviews without a limit.

The 4 biggest differences in detail
The counter runs — including on the free plan
Taggbox bills in views: 500 a month on the free plan, 10,000 on Starter, 50,000 on Growth, one million on Advanced. For a small company website with a few hundred visitors a month, the free plan just about covers it. As the site grows, so does the bill — and in jumps, because each tier is a multiple of the previous one. SwissTrustWidget doesn't count views. At 100 or at 100,000 visitors a month: the widget shows, the price stays the same.
Feeds instead of locations
Taggbox limits not only views but also the number of feeds: one on the free plan, two on Starter, four on Growth. A feed is one source. A business with two branches, each with its own Google profile, already needs two feeds and lands on a paid plan. With SwissTrustWidget the unit is the Google Business Profile: one on Starter for CHF 49, three on Business for CHF 149, unlimited on Agency for CHF 199 — each a one-time payment.
Updates: every four days on the free plan
How quickly a new review shows up on your website depends on the Taggbox plan: every four days on free, every two hours on Starter, every 30 minutes on Growth. Four days is too long for a business actively asking for reviews — by then the fresh five-star review is no longer news. SwissTrustWidget updates identically on every plan: data is cached server-side for six hours and then refetched. No difference between the free and the paid version.
Data protection: GDPR is not the Swiss FADP
Taggbox states GDPR compliance on its website. The revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) is not mentioned there, nor is a processing location in Switzerland. Prices are in USD and support is in English. SwissTrustWidget is run by a Swiss agency, processes data in Switzerland and the EU, loads no external Google Fonts and bills in CHF — with support in German, French, Italian and English.
