Embed Google Reviews in WordPress – In 3 Steps

Display your Google reviews directly on your WordPress website. No plugin, no coding skills — done in under 2 minutes.

WordPress powers over 40% of all websites worldwide — and is also the most popular CMS in Switzerland. Whether you run a trades business, cleaning company or dental practice: when you embed your Google reviews on your WordPress site, visitors immediately see that real customers have had good experiences. The best part: you don't need an additional plugin. SwissTrustWidget works with a single HTML code that you insert in just a few clicks.

1

Create Widget at SwissTrustWidget

Go to swisstrustwidget.ch and click "Create Widget". Connect your Google location, choose a template (badge, carousel, review cards), customise the design — colours, fonts and layout to match your WordPress site.

2

Copy Embed Code

Once your widget is designed, click "Copy Code". SwissTrustWidget generates a short script tag — this is the code you insert into your WordPress site. Copy the entire code to your clipboard.

3

Insert in WordPress

Depending on your page builder: Gutenberg — "Custom HTML" block, paste the code, save. Elementor — HTML widget in the sidebar, paste the code. Divi — "Code" module, paste the code. The widget appears after saving.

What the embed code looks like

  data-theme="light"
  data-place-id="IHR_GOOGLE_PLACE_ID"
  data-max-reviews="3"
  data-show-name="true"></div>
<script src="https://app.swisstrustwidget.ch/widget.js" async></script>

Where to place the widget?

Home page (hero area or below): badge or trust pill under the headline. Contact page: review cards or carousel next to the contact form. Footer (site-wide): compact badge on every subpage. About page: full widget with multiple reviews. Landing pages: near the call-to-action.

Troubleshooting: Widget not showing?

Clear browser cache (WordPress caching plugins). Check security plugin — allow domain cdn.swisstrustwidget.ch. JavaScript errors in console (CSP). Code inserted in an HTML block, not a text block. Theme settings: allow external scripts.
