Embed Google Reviews in Webflow — In 3 Steps
Display your Google reviews directly on your Webflow website. Paste the embed code, publish your site — done. No Marketplace app required.
Webflow is the CMS of choice for agencies, freelancers and design-focused businesses — including in Switzerland. If you build your website in Webflow, you want full control over design and code. That's exactly what you get when embedding your Google reviews. SwissTrustWidget doesn't require a Webflow app or any third-party service. A single embed code is all it takes. Place it where you want, and your reviews appear in the design you've chosen.
Create your widget on SwissTrustWidget
Head to swisstrustwidget.ch and click "Create widget". Connect your Google location, choose a template (badge for the header, carousel for the homepage, review cards for the contact page), customise the design to match your Webflow site — colours, fonts, layout, light or dark background.
Copy the embed code
Click "Copy code". SwissTrustWidget generates a short script tag — this is the code you'll insert into Webflow.
Insert into Webflow
On a single page: in the Webflow Designer, place an Embed element (elements panel → Embed), double-click it, paste the code, "Save & Close", publish. On all pages: Project Settings → Custom Code → Footer Code → paste the code, save, publish. Embed elements available from the Basic plan.
This is what the embed code looks like
<div id="google-review-widget"
data-template="medium-badge"
data-theme="light"
data-place-id="IHR_GOOGLE_PLACE_ID"
data-max-reviews="3"
data-show-name="true"></div>

Homepage (hero section or just below): A badge or trust pill directly below your headline. Visitors see within the first seconds that your business has real reviews. Contact page: Review cards or a carousel next to your contact form. Just before someone submits an enquiry, they see what other customers have experienced. Footer (as a Webflow Component): A compact badge in the footer appears on every subpage. Create a Webflow Component with the Embed element — you only manage the code in one place. About page: A detailed widget with multiple reviews fits perfectly here. Visitors on this page want to learn more about your business. Landing pages: On offer or campaign pages, a widget can boost conversion. Place it near your call-to-action.
Troubleshooting: Widget not showing?
Webflow site published? Changes in the Designer are only live after clicking "Publish". The embed code doesn't execute in the Designer preview. Embed code inserted correctly? Webflow sometimes cuts code off when you select it by double-clicking. Safest approach: select all with Ctrl+A / Cmd+A and paste again. Custom Code plan needed? Webflow allows Embed elements on the Basic plan and above. If you're on the Free plan, the Embed element is limited. Clear browser cache: Reload the page with Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R, or open it in an incognito window. Content Security Policy (CSP): If you've configured a custom CSP in Webflow, make sure cdn.swisstrustwidget.ch is allowed as a script source.
